Taiwan 2015: My Pics? Approach with Caution (They're 'Sensitive'!)
-
Sure thing! Here's a revised and more polished translation:
Ah, I had deleted the first photo since it wasn't quite perfect. The remaining ones are all wonderful memories from my trip to Taiwan ten years ago.
- Taipei 101: I don’t think I need to explain much about it, right? It was the tallest building in the world back then, a landmark of Taipei! Looking up at it is tiring, but it’s also fun, haha!
- Zhongtai Chan Temple: This is not an ordinary temple but a super grand Buddhist complex located in the mountains in central Taiwan. The unique architecture makes it well worth checking out.
- Kaohsiung: This is a big city on the southern coast of Taiwan, noisy and bustling with delicious night market snacks!
- Kenting: If you like the sun, beach, and sea, then this is paradise! Lying at the southernmost tip of Taiwan, you can enjoy the tropical vibes here.
- Pacific Ocean: Stand on the eastern coast of Taiwan—whether from Hualien or Taitung—you'll see boundless Pacific Ocean and amazing landscapes!
There are blurry photos taken because my mobile camera didn’t have that good quality, but these memories from our trip are as real as ever!
I honestly recommend Taiwan. When you get an opportunity, go and experience it! I myself am counting down the days until my next trip there.
Travel Tip (for foreign friends):
- Language: The main spoken language of Taiwan is Mandarin Chinese, but English is widely used at the tourist spots and among young people.
- Transportation: Public transportation in Taiwan is very convenient, especially high-speed railways and MRT (metro). It’s a great choice for traveling among cities.
- Food: Night markets are the soul of Taiwan! You have to try all the delicious snacks, like bubble milk tea, oyster pancake, rice noodles, and so on.
- Payment: Mobile payments are popular in Taiwan, but it's better to have some cash, especially when shopping at street vendors.
I hope this information helps! Next time you go to Taiwan, don't forget to bring back some clear and beautiful photos to share!
-
To hell with politics, I really love Taiwan.
-
I love it too, especially Kenting.

Back in early 2018, when I was in my second year of junior high, everything was set for my trip. I was just waiting for the flight, but it got changed, so I ended up not going. I then planned to go for a proper trip after my high school entrance exams, but that never panned out. Now, I'm already a college sophomore.
-
Probably won't get a chance to go before graduating college...
-
I'm actually in Taipei right now.
-
So jealous!
-
Here's a photo of Taipei 101 I took two days ago.
-
So jealous!
-
I also went in 2015.
-
Looking forward to the next time!
-
Even photos from ten years ago weren't this blurry, were they? (It's so annoying that Xiaohongshu doesn't let you browse by year like in a photo album.)
-
My phone back then was pretty basic.
-
My mom went on an independent trip in 2018 and brought back two bags of Man Han Feast instant noodles – either Kangshifu or Uni-President brand. They were delicious!
-
It was probably Uni-President, the one with the real beef chunks.
-
Which airport is that in the first picture?
-
Taoyuan.
-
What kind of visa did you use?
-
Independent travel was possible back then.
-
I've finally decided to delete the first picture.
