It's called a 'zaiju' (載具, carrier) because it's not limited to just one app or channel; it can 'carry' data from many. We call this process 'guihu' (歸戶), which means consolidating or linking accounts. For example, I've linked my FamilyMart, PX Mart, Poya, and Cosmed accounts to my 'zaiju.' Since it's registered with the Ministry of Finance, it's unique and tied to you personally. Any prize money won can be deposited directly into your personal bank account. 😀

This is the first time I'm hearing the term 'guihu' (歸戶) as well. In mainland China, 'zaiju' (载具) usually refers to a means of transport – something that carries people or goods, which is completely different from your meaning. We don't really have a 'guihu' concept because we tend to consolidate things by default. For instance, data for a specific category from any store would typically be grouped together; otherwise, there's no point in having a separate app for it. Lifestyles on both sides of the strait are indeed quite different.

It's that 'Wú wàng zài Jǔ' (毋忘在莒) catchphrase... (bushi - yeah, right!).

When I was eating at a restaurant in Taiwan, the owner asked if I wanted a 'shoushu' (收束). I'm pretty sure they meant 'shouju' (收據) – a receipt.

That must be the 'zaiju' they're talking about. I heard you can win prizes with it, hahaha!

And here I was, thinking... when I travel, I usually take the MRT or bus. Where does this 'vehicle' (another meaning of 'zaiju' or 'che' - vehicle) come into play? Hahahaha!

'Zaiju' (載具) is a general term. Think of it as a tool for 'carrying' your transaction information. So, the membership cards, credit cards, etc., that you normally use are, in themselves, 'zaiju.' When you sign up for a membership card or credit card, you've essentially got a 'zaiju.' Or if you have a Citizen Digital Certificate, that's also a 'zaiju.'

That explanation makes it much easier to understand and remember!

Oh wow, I can't believe I actually learned something new on Xiaohongshu! Thanks to the original poster (OP) and all the 'sisters' (fellow users) in the comments!
