400 Kuai for Two to Suffer. Yep, That Happened.
-
Sigh, ladies, let me tell you, I supposed it would be a pleasant trip to Guangzhou Chimelong Paradise (an extremely famous theme park located in Guangzhou), but...
- While enjoying the roller coaster with my friend, we were unable to continue due to the unbearable feeling of nausea and almost threw up. You know, it feels as if you were disoriented from the whirling experience.
- We were unable to move after that, and only returned to our usual state by resting on the bench for about half an hour before feeling better.
- Due to the discomfort, we could only ride bumper cars and some child-friendly rides instead of those fun attractions.
Feeling that the money spent on the ticket was wasted, what a loss!
Caution! Important reminder for foreign friends:
- If you are prone to motion sickness:
- Be extremely careful when visiting an amusement park with thrilling rides.
- How to avoid this?
- Avoid those super thrilling rides like giant swings or anything that spins you around quickly.
- Otherwise, start with the mildest rides first and assess your body's reaction.
- Taking some anti-motion sickness medication beforehand may help too.
- Otherwise, you might suffer from discomfort and impact your further itinerary. It is so not worth it!
Chimelong Paradise When You Feel Powerless Sometimes Does Anyone Know My Pain
-
Rode the Dive Coaster three times, the Rocket Coaster three times, the Giant Pendulum four times, and the Drop Tower twice. Definitely got my money's worth!
-
Awesome! Can nearsighted people ride the Dive Coaster? Like, if they're wearing cosmetic contact lenses?
-
The Dive Coaster didn't make me dizzy, but the Giant Pendulum was incredibly disorienting. The 'washing machine' ride at the water park also made me super dizzy. I kept my mouth shut the entire time, afraid I'd puke on the person opposite me.
-
So true.
-
I can't believe motion sickness extends to rollercoasters too!
-
I can vouch for that, it's true. If you usually get carsick, just skip rides like rollercoasters and the Giant Pendulum. You'll get extremely dizzy and feel nauseous.
-
Actually, the most dizzying ride at Chimelong is, surprisingly, the Family Coaster, and then the Giant Pendulum.
-
Yeah, the Family Coaster for sure. Maybe it felt more intense because it was the first ride I went on that day? But the Giant Pendulum didn't really do much for me.
-
Those with weaker hearts should steer clear too. My heart rate hit at least 170 when I rode that Pegasus Family Coaster the other day.
-
Those things? We only dare to watch, never actually ride them.
-
I got off a rollercoaster, and my watch had already called an ambulance for me!
-
Most rides at Chimelong just whip you around, a lot like a car taking sharp turns. I don't get dizzy at other amusement parks, but at Chimelong, I feel motion sick after just a couple of rides. [facepalm]
-
All I managed was the 10 Inversion Coaster and a carousel ride, hahaha!
-
Back when our school went to Chimelong Paradise, I spent the whole trip just watching everyone's bags on the sidelines.
