• Special reminder for first-time visitors to Suzhou:
  • It's not recommended for you to join the crowd late at night! Although the lights on Shantang Street are indeed beautiful at night and there is no admission fee, it's free to enter.
  • However, the crowds will be overwhelming! If you don't mind swimming in the crowd, then you can go and experience it for yourself.
  • Do not bring children! It's just too crowded, unsafe for little kids, and adults will be exhausted too.
