Adios, Beijing! (Land of the Eternal Security Check)Luckily, my facial recognition went through smoothly. Otherwise, I really wouldn't have known what to do. (They didn't seem to realize I'm a woman and even said, 'Hey young man, why is your face so white?')

Warning! Came for a good time sightseeing... LOL, NO. 😢Was this by any chance near the boat dock? The kind where they approach you right as you get out of a taxi, claiming their tour is cheap? I said I'd go in and check it out first, but he kept insisting there were no attractions inside. I almost fell for it. Luckily, I didn't go with them.

My Unscripted Suzhou: Random Roaming & Why It's Definitely NOT ShanghaiAs a Suzhou local, let me say this: the traffic police here are among the most lenient in the country (their income from fines is one of the lowest nationwide). This leads to quite a few people on e-bikes and in cars not following traffic regulations.

Guangzhou: Total Letdown 😞If you can mess up and miss the Inner Ring Road even at Zhongshan Interchange, then you'll find it even easier to get lost heading to Haizhu District. GPS navigation often has delays, and with so many diverging roads, you really need to look up at the signs. On another note, if it weren't for the Inner Ring Road elevated highway, Guangzhou's restrictions on out-of-town cars would be even tighter, and those drivers wouldn't even get the chance to complain.
