The other day, a Suzhou local driving a ride-hail car maliciously cut us off and scraped our car. He then got out and berated my partner for not yielding, even though we were going straight and he'd aggressively cut in. He was cursing my partner, calling him 'xiao chi lao' (a local insult like 'little punk') and so on, then drove off โ a hit-and-run. A bystander even said, 'This guy is a disgrace to Suzhou people.' Later, when the traffic police arrived, an officer said, 'Must be an outsider.' I corrected him, 'No, he was a local; he even called my partner 'xiao chi lao'.' The officer went silent... Seriously, stop blaming outsiders for every bad thing that happens in Suzhou.

Taiwan WTF: Call Someone 'Psycho'? That's a 300,000 NTD Bill! (You've Been Warned ๐)Oh wow, folks! Can you believe that in Taiwan, if you insult people with harsh words, you have to pay a fine!
-
And they even seem to have a set of prices for insults, clearly outlined like a menu.
-
The scariest part is: the word โcrazy,โ or, in Chinese, โ็ฅ็ป็ ,โ which literally means โmentally illโ and is akin to saying someone is "crazy" or "psycho" in English - it turns out, if you say this, the fine could go as high as 300,000 New Taiwan dollars (thatโs roughly tens of thousands of RMB)! My Oh my!
-
๏ธ Important Reminder: Take special note of this if you plan on visiting Taiwan!
- Mind your language! If you hurl an insult there, you'll have quite a payout in your wallet.
- Why? Because, unlike here where two people might just fight but in Taiwan, there are laws against public defamation, and they handle verbal attacks with specific regulations.
- How can you avoid trouble? Even when youโre furious, try to remain composed and speak well. After all, no one wants to get hit with a hefty fine over a single angry comment, right? When you're away from home, kindness pays off.

Really, what do you think about this? Is it rather mind-blowing?

How Many Has This Noodle Bowl TRICKED?! Southerner's First Northern Oil-Splashed Noodles = Total System SHUTDOWN!Perhaps the city is just too big, with a large transient population, making it tough for authorities to manage... We just have to be extra careful. I'm quite surprised, as I haven't encountered anything like this in years.

What Unspeakable Crime Got Me Banished to Lingnan?Sure enough, when it comes to the weather in Guangzhou, I can't help but have a lot to say!
Indeed, is there any place with more "mischievous" weather than Guangzhou? The climate here is as temperamental as ever and unpredictably changing on a whim, faster even than flipping through pages! #GuangdongWeahterIsSoWillful. For those visiting our beautiful Guangdong province for the first time, especially those coming to Guangzhou, let me brief you: We are located in southern China, where the climatic characteristics are akin to a "random play." It's not uncommon for the weather to radically shift into a stormy downpour mid-journey after a warm sunny day that made you doubt the heat of life.
As someone who is always looking forward to going out and playing, this type of weather makes me go bonkers! #ReallyWantToGoOutAndPlayButWeatherDoesnโtAllow
Important tips for friends visiting Guangzhou:
- Warning! Warning! As for the weather forecast in Guangzhou: Well, let's put it this way - the reference value of the forecast... you get the picture! It often deviates from standard weather patterns.
- What should one do, then? Have an umbrella at hand! Regardless of whether used for sun protection or rain, it is your "lifesaver." Also, having a light jacket nearby is never wrong, considering the indoor air conditioning might be strong, or sudden temperature drops could occur. It is advisable to pay attention to your mobile weather applications especially those which provide detailed minute-by-minute rain updates, which would be quite helpful!

- That long-awaited new subway line which took about five or six years to build? It's finally operational today!
- (I'll let you in on a secret: Suzhou is a famous ancient city, with many narrow, old streets. Before now, the roads were always congested and it was quite challenging to get a taxi.)
- In the future when coming to Suzhou for a visit:
- Key Points (Heads Up!): You no longer have to worry about exclamations like "Oh, how narrow the streets are in Suzhou", or "No way, I'm stuck in traffic again" along with the challenges of "Why's it so difficult to catch a taxi in this city!
".

Stereotypes About Suzhou: My Two Cents (and Maybe a Laugh)Alright, I totally get the feeling! Let me help you share this with our overseas friends to make them chuckle:
Before my visit to Suzhou:
- My mind was all set on the "Water Town of Southern Jiangnan." I imagined those charming scenes from TV shows, with small bridges, flowing streams, ancient houses and canals.
- With a fine drizzle or two thrown in for good measure, it would have been a poetic piece of perfection!
- But what happened when I actually arrived in Suzhou...
- Important Travel Reminder!
- Oh my mother, the wind was howling! It blew so fiercely that my already glossy forehead felt like a mirror!
- Ladies, stay alert! If your hair is down, beware the strong gusts that can turn you into a 'Mei Chaofeng' โ a character from old wuxia movies. With a messy hairstyle looking oh-so powerful, I swear this isn't exaggeration.
In other words, Suzhou:
- Visually, it's like an elegant, classical beauty.
- But inside, it might sneakily be into rock music, wild as anything!

Suzhou's So Pretty, But Honestly? The Commercial Overload Was a Total Letdown ๐Pingjiang Road is completely ruined now... It wasn't like this at all when I was in middle school. There weren't so many identical, unoriginal shops. It used to be very quiet, the canal banks weren't so overly manicured, and you'd often see students sketching. Walking the whole length was so pleasant. Now it's just a chaotic mess. I saw a new Russian shop in the middle section and almost fainted in disbelief.
