Great Wall Hustlers: Harder to Dodge Than the Steps & Twice as Shady! Don't Buy Their BS. #ChinaTravel #ScamWarning

Any recommendations on which district in Shenzhen to stay in? Looking for a place that's convenient for hiking, shopping, and eating. Any specific restaurants worth trying? I'm planning to visit this Chinese New Year.

There's no such thing as a boring Shenzhen, only people who don't know how to explore it. It has all the typical city sights—mountains, sea, sunrises, sunsets, and city nightscapes—everything except ancient architecture.
For sea views, check out the Observatory, Luzui Villa, Dameisha, Xiaomeisha, and Beizaijiao Lighthouse. For mountains, there's Wutong Mountain, Tanglang Mountain, Nanshan Mountain, and more.
Catch sunrises and sunsets at Shenzhen Bay Sunrise Arena, Qianhai Stone Park, Haibian Park, and Xixiang Mangrove.
For city night views, visit OH Bay, Sea World, Talent Park, and Xiaowutong Mountain.
Xianhu Botanical Garden is also stunning, especially the 'Heaven on Earth' scenic spot inside (see bottom right picture). -
OMG!!!! This shot is absolutely incredible!
-
Dameisha Beach the day before yesterday. This season is perfect for a visit—it's like experiencing summer all over again! I just landed back in Shandong and nearly froze to death.
-
So beautiful! And you take amazing photos!
-
Northerners really love Dameisha Beach.
-
If you head a bit further east, Dameisha doesn't even make the list of Shenzhen's truly stunning beaches.
-
The Dapeng area is quite nice, just make sure to travel during off-peak hours. Elsewhere, it's pretty much just parks, parks, and more parks.

Judiaosha Beach.

Akanala.

Come see the sunset!

Sunset glow over the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link.

What area is this near?

After seeing so many beaches, my husband and I both agreed: Shenzhen's coastline is the most beautiful. It's incredibly clear and stunning. Once you're here, you don't want to leave. The transportation is fantastic, it's very clean, and the people are friendly. The way drivers yield to pedestrians is really commendable.

Excuse me, where is this place?
-
I absolutely adore Shenzhen! I just love visiting its malls and parks. Cycling in Shenzhen Bay Park is so incredibly comfortable, and I could happily spend an entire afternoon just sitting and daydreaming at a café near Sea World. Shenzhen and Fuzhou are my favorite cities.

Thanks for loving Fuzhou!
