The Sick Travel Truth: Poor People Actually Spend MORE Than Rich People! 1

Oh my God, let me tell you about my miserable experiences!

    • During last year’s “May Day” Labor Day holiday (a big holiday where everyone gets off work), I got excited and headed to the famous riverside attraction, The Bund in Shanghai.
      • However, under those beautiful lights, there were so many people! Just trying to snap a photo was challenging; I had to raise my selfie stick sky-high to squeeze through the sea of heads.
    • Later, I went to Guanqian Street in Suzhou, a famous commercial pedestrian street.
      • The sight of people waiting in line was simply staggering; it almost rivaled the peak season of China’s Spring Festival travel rush, where billions of people jam the roads! Waiting times were at least two hours, and by looking at this situation, I immediately lost heart.
    • I truly don’t get it! This isn’t going out to relax and spend a holiday; it’s spending money to find trouble! From that point onwards, I swore never to join the fun during holidays anymore!

When I think about it further, it feels so unfair:

    • As working-class citizens (ordinary office workers), we already earn so little and have so few holidays; we inevitably end up squeezing ourselves alongside others during these "Golden Week" holidays.
      • Hotel prices skyrocket!
      • Booking tickets, whether by car or plane, must be done with lightning speed.
      • Once at the destinations, all you see are people ahead of you.
    • Simply put, aren’t these vacations just more hidden expenses designed specifically for those lacking both time and money?
    • But look at it from the perspective of the rich and leisured:
      • They tend to travel during off-peak seasons (non-holiday periods) and stay in luxury five-star hotels.
      • They visit museums and rarely encounter crowds.
      • Airlines offer discounted fares, allowing them to save on transport costs.
      • They spend much less and avoid the hassle we face as working-class folks.

In reality, most cities can be explored sufficiently within two to three days.

    • The benefits of traveling off-season are countless:
      • Tickets are always available.
      • You can secure cheap deals for hotels.
      • Popular tourist spots may not get that crowded and feel like private tours.
      • Those trending eateries usually have you wait in long queues normally, now might directly invite you in to take your seat and dine.

Wish to slash your hotel budget in half? Want to minimize unnecessary expenses?

    • ⚠️ Note: A trick to cut costs on booking hotels awaits you here: ⚠️
      • ✅ Firstly, download an app called “Zhi Xing Train Ticket App” (it mainly sells train tickets but also has hotel booking services).
      • ✅ Open the app and enter code “784977” into the search box at the homepage.
      • ✅ This allows you to receive discount coupons, which you can use during your booking to reduce costs. Remember to claim the coupons before ordering!

Sometimes it truly feels as if the rich experience a completely different world compared to us!

Are you referring to the 100 yuan coupon?

Not just this one. You can claim all the coupons, and they can be stacked.

Actually, wealthy people spend on a completely different level. Even though their high-end bank cards might offer many discounts and freebies, what they spend on entertainment, dining, and accommodation easily runs into the thousands, or even tens of thousands, per night. So, there's no need to worry about whether you're on the same level or if they're somehow having fun for less money.

            That's the honest truth.
