Haha, I can really relate to this!

There is a joke in Putuo District of Shanghai that there are three things you can't avoid throughout life:

    • Birth - no choice here.
    • Death - no room for negotiation.
    • And the other thing is visiting Huánqiú Gǎng!

For those who are not familiar with these terms:

    • "Putuo District (Pǔtuó Qū)" is one of the districts in Shanghai.
    • "Huánqiú Gǎng" (Universal Port) isn't a harbor or port but a huge shopping mall right here, offering various facilities from dining to amusement. It’s so big that people will easily get lost in it!

The point here is that this place seems closely tied with our lives in Putuo District; we have to visit quite frequently.

It's just the most hilarious thing ever that even when traveling to the farthest corners of the world, I can still feel "Universal Port” popping up in my head by itself, or associating with something else I encounter there. I just couldn't think anything other than it!

    Hashtag #Putuo District (just one of the districts in Shanghai);
Hashtag #Universal Port Mall (that giant shopping paradise).

Global Harbor, Uni Elite, Joy City Changfeng, Livat, Parkson Newcore, Arch Shanghai – these malls pretty much cover all my shopping and entertainment needs year-round.

I've lived here since Ningxia Road was just a grassy field, and I watched Global Harbor being built day by day.

I bought my apartment and then watched Ningxia Road being dug out (for development).

Just wondering, when you exit the subway at Shanghai Global Harbor, are you on the ground floor (1F)? And do you have to take an elevator down to get to B2?

Exit 6 of Jinshajiang Road station comes out at B2. Exit 2 comes out on the 1st floor.

Global Harbor? Whoever likes it can go, I'm not a fan, haha. Isn't Uni Elite a much better choice?

😂 You could say it's pretty much unavoidable for ECNU folks.

What's so great about Global Harbor anyway?

I once visited a mall in Manchester that looked exactly like Global Harbor.

Doesn't Putuo district now have that massively hyped 'it' spot?
