Oh my goodness, I can't even count how many times I've been to Shanghai!
-
Shopping here always feels like it's going to break the bank!
️
- Shopping is just so convenient here, possibly more so than anywhere else in the world. There are brands from both home and abroad - whatever you could think of is likely available.
- A good walk through the various malls, everything you see you want to take home. Your wallet will "diet" the same amount of time that you spend in Shanghai.
-
To be honest though:
- In terms of food, I didn't find them overly remarkable, nothing really amazing nor unexpected.
- As for the attractions, they feel a bit monotonous. Everywhere you look there are towering skyscrapers — a 'sea of reinforced concrete' (that means an abundance of modern buildings with little scenery).
- It feels just like being trapped in this big city.

- If you're someone who values freedom, appreciates exploration into nature and unique cultural experiences:
- Shanghai might not be your perfect destination; staying for an extended period may lead you to feel somewhat monotonous and boring.
- It might make you feel a bit "out of breath" (having a suffocating feeling of wanting to stretch and breath in a broader space).
- More or less, after the initial days of exhilaration fades from the crazy shopping spree, I start to feel rather wronged/cheated.

Knowledge Time
- There are many people in China who affectionately call Shanghai "The Magical City."
- This nickname is given due to Shanghai's extremely fast development, rapid changes in urban appearance, much like the magic of illusion. So, an awesome nickname is born.
