Alright, I've been hanging around here for nearly two months now!

    • Every day, either I am "hunkered down" in my living space (which means staying at the hotel or rented apartment, hardly venturing out to explore), or staring at the screen of my phone feeling a bit bored and aimless 😁—I'm almost starting to feel like I'm going stale!
    • That's why I have to emphasize (and also give other friends a friendly reminder!):
      • If you come to a new place without doing some "homework" (that is, researching some travel information), or are too shy to ask around, then it's so easy to end up like me—completely clueless about what might be fun around here, and with no idea where you should go!
    • So, fellow savvy travelers:
      • Is there really anything interesting nearby that's worth visiting?
      • Or are there any fun activities, even meeting some local friends?
      • Come on, give me some ideas! I can't stand feeling this way and just rot away here before returning home!

Honestly, when I first came to Shenzhen, I wasn't sure what there was to do. At first, I just went out for drinks and meals with friends, but that got boring really quickly. Then I started exploring the mountains—hiking and camping. It could be the coastline, or mountains right within the city. Shenzhen has several seaside parks where you can watch the sunrise and sunset over the ocean, have a picnic while enjoying the sea breeze, or even see seagulls in winter. You can also easily get a visa to visit Hong Kong's beautiful islands. There's so much fun to be had; the way the mountains and sea are integrated with the city is a resource other places just can't match.

Even I, someone who's never been active, got so bored that I actually started hiking...

Be honest with Uncle, are you just trying to play with my feelings? Uncle's getting on in years, you know. I've been seeing you behind my wife's back because I truly thought you were my one true love. When we first met, you said Uncle was manly, mature, and considerate. Last night, you even had Uncle wash your clothes, including your underwear, and I did it for you. Then you wanted to go out, but Uncle thought you were still too young and said no. So why did you block Uncle as soon as you got home? You're not answering my calls either. If you're unhappy with Uncle about something, you can tell me. Please don't treat Uncle like this. I'm an old man, I can't handle this kind of shock. Sweetheart, please don't be like this, okay? Come back to Uncle, and I'll do anything you ask. If you see this, please message Uncle back. Uncle's waiting for you.
