PSA: May Day in [City Name]? Brace for Human Tsunami! (City's Great, Sights Too, But THE CROWDS, OMG!) 1

Alright, my friends, please take my advice to heart!

First of all, let me give a little background on the Zhong-Ying Street in Shenzhen for those who might not be familiar with it:

    • The Zhong-Ying Street is quite special; half of it belongs to Shenzhen (on the mainland), while the other half of the street belongs to Hong Kong. Due to its unique geographical location, it used to be quite interesting back in the day.
    • However! Don't get fooled by the pretty photos online!

Now, moving on to my honest feelings about this place:

    • Trust me, it's utterly boring! More uninteresting than any commercial pedestrian street I've been to before (you know, those streets full of shops and meant for tourists).

⚠️ Important warning / A regret you may have:

    • If you actually go there, chances are you'll start questioning if you yourself just can't have fun or if your taste in things is off.
    • In conclusion, I strongly advise against visiting it and suggest you save time by not going.

Zhongying Street isn't really a place for fun, you know.

When I went this time, I felt things were cheaper than before.

Go to the other side, and you can actually relax a bit.

            This is Hong Kong, right?

I feel like the people warning against this are the same ones who'd tell you to 'avoid' the Berlin Wall. I once saw someone saying to skip the Berlin Wall because it wasn't photogenic and 'you can't get good shots there'.
