Alright, no problem at all! Leave it to me and I’ll make sure this “rant” post is more accessible to foreign friends while keeping your genuine style intact!
I must admit that my sister and I did not have a great time in Suzhou at all…
- We originally booked our hotel for two days, but ultimately couldn’t stand staying there and left early instead.
- (Just to emphasize this is purely our personal experience and not the whole city’s fault — take it as a point of reference rather than a general evaluation.)
Additional Remarks About This Suzhou Trip (Updated on July 30, 2024):
- Our poor experience wasn't due much to the weather, but rather because of some unpleasant incidents we encountered during our trip. It wouldn’t make much sense now to recount them all one by one, so no need to dwell on that.
- Travel experiences are really quite subjective.
- Perhaps Suzhou is a place where what’s sweet for one might be like arsenic for another—some people may absolutely adore Suzhou, but my sister and I sadly didn’t connect with it.
- Don’t assume that we speak for everyone here; hopefully, you can empathize with us feeling just “okay” about it.
- It should be noted that saying we dislike something isn’t equivalent to hating it!
- Think about it like this, we find ourselves in a very neutral zone—neither liking nor disliking Suzhou.
- In a nutshell, while we won’t proactively encourage friends to go there, we certainly won’t stop anyone who wants to go.
- Now, let’s be honest here, as Chinese people, we appreciate our country’s beautiful places!
Final Notes (Updated on August 02, 2024):
- I have to say, Suzhou Railway Station is truly beautiful, something worth acknowledging!
