    Coming from the Northeast, I'm really struggling to adapt. It's just so muggy every day.

      It's truly muggy. I feel like whatever sunscreen I put on when I go out, I just end up 'washing my face' with sweat.

        You can only imagine how tough life in Guangdong must have been thousands or hundreds of years ago: poisonous insects and snakes getting into homes, people randomly dying from poison on the roads, clothes that were hard to dry, frequent floods and mudslides, constant rain, and foggy days half the time.

                    A huge flying insect flew in last night and scared me to death. When I took a closer look, it was a cockroach.
