Well then, friends, let me give you some advice - the three hundred dollars I spent here feels like throwing them into the water – there wasn't even a ripple!

    • It opens for business at 10 am every day. I left the place around 2:30 in the afternoon, which included spending an hour watching the "Songcheng's Millennium Story" performance.

      • Upon entering through the main gate, you'll see a commercial street and a so-called "singing fountain" typical in many Chinese tourist spotsβ€”where a loud shout into a microphone makes the fountains shoot up high. While it's quite common and barely satisfactory for me, it's still bearable.
      • Further inside, there are dinosaur models! Amid the interactive performances, there is also a model of the heavy artillery used during World War II (the Anti-Japanese War of the late 1930s and early 40s). It baffles me how these items have anything to do with the Song Dynasty, an outstanding Chinese dynasty known for its cultural and economic prosperity between 960 and 1279 AD.πŸ˜…
      • The scenery inside leaves much to be desired, and the small performances are also disappointing. That so-called 'flying in the air' show is like paying over a hundred dollars for a few minutes of being hoisted into the air at the seaside. And there are facilities moved directly from an ordinary amusement park, such as a haunted house, which are very dull. Most interactive shows don't go well with the theme of the Song Dynasty, really. Frankly, I think it would be better to go shopping at Yintai Mall (a chain shopping mall) next to their parking lot than visiting this place.
    • ‼️‼️ Pay special attention to the main attraction, "Songcheng's Millennium Story" performance:

      • The opening scene is surprisingly a "jungle style." My travel companion joked that it looks like four people arranging themselves on some poles and demonstrating sports skills.
      • Then, the performance style quickly changes to dancing. It claims to be celebrating the emperor's birthday, but various styles of foreign dances emerge instead. One dancer even wears eye-catching attire, making it feel almost like a night club atmosphere.
      • Overall, the performance leaves me confused about its main theme. At times, some red lanterns float down from above, which feels quite peculiar.

In summary, I strongly do not recommend this experience!! Anyone paying money here would feel cheated just like a "naive radish" (an idiom referring to a gullible person)!

Hahaha, there's this show called 'Piaoxue Interaction' (Piaoxue means 'falling snow'). When the NPC came out, I kept waiting for it to actually snow. After waiting ages and seeing no snow, I finally realized 'Piaoxue' was just the NPC's name!

Be careful with the criticism, or you'll get called out.

It was truly awful. The entire time, I had no idea what was going on. The hour-long performance was utter nonsense. If you're thinking of coming, absolutely don't. Get your tickets refunded ASAP. Chinese people don't rip off other Chinese people.

Hangzhou Songcheng Park? Even dogs wouldn't go there.

It was incredibly boring, tiny, and run-down. The performance quality was low too.

Finally, someone said it! I didn't even dare to post this on Xiaohongshu, hahaha. Out of everything, only the 'Romance of the Song Dynasty' show and the 'striking molten iron' performance were decent. The rest was just... what even was that? And 300 RMB per person is seriously overpriced.

I actually thought 'The Great Earthquake' show was better than 'Romance of the Song Dynasty'. Loved the molten iron fireworks, though!

Will Hangzhou still be very crowded after the 10th day of the Lunar New Year?

Not sure, but it should be much less crowded during the off-season once school starts.

Absolutely. I went on the third day of the Lunar New Year. I feel like all the shows in Zhejiang are pretty terrible – a total rip-off. It's not even in the same league as the 'Romance of the Song Dynasty' we saw in Sanya. There were no parades or anything similar, and the programs were incredibly boring. All hype, terrible content.

Negative review! There are no tickets available if you don't want to see the show! Just a couple of days ago, I checked, and there were 70 RMB tickets for park entry without the show. Checked today, and they're gone. The issue is, the people with us have already seen the show and were just accompanying us!! Now we're just stuck waiting outside for them.
