Taiwan Travel WTF? Why I'm Urging: 'Non-Essential Trips? Maybe NOT Right Now!' 1

Alright, let's get crystal clear about planning a trip to Taiwan for all dreamers out there.

    Hey everyone,

Still, a major part of our service involves facilitating entry to Taiwan. However, the honest truth is getting to Taiwan (yes, the same island also known as Formosa, renowned for the Taipei 101 skyscraper and its bustling night markets!) isn’t as simple a task as it might sound.

Despite landing a Taiwan entry permit, the journey remains full of unexpected challenges, especially regarding flying in and out. Our daily mailboxes are filled with stories of travelers with valid permits, yet lacking the knowledge needed beyond that point. Some unfortunate souls have even seen their permits confiscated!

    As of April 14, 2025:

    • Group tours to Taiwan? They aren't happening currently.
    • Obtaining regular tourist permits for sightseeing purposes? This option is not available.
    • If it’s not urgent, my recommendation would be to postpone your plans for now. But, if you really must, or have an irresistible urge to visit, ensure you fall into one of these categories:
      • Visiting Taiwan as an overseas tourist,
      • Heading over on a business trip,
      • Attending a trade show or exhibition (which we may help by providing an invitation letter),
      • Visiting family members.

Let’s dive a bit deeper into each point:

    • Overseas Tourist Entry: This applies to individuals already working, studying, or residing outside mainland China who possess proof thereof, or hold a Hong Kong or Macau passport.

    • Business Entry: A business traveler needs employment confirmation, along with an invitation letter from a Taiwanese company and evidence of actual cross-border business transactions between their company and the one inviting them.

    • Exhibition/Trade Fair Entry (using an invitation letter): If your company operates within industries relevant to an exhibition, apply to join it. Also, our services extend to acquiring the necessary invitation for you.

    • Family Visit Entry: This case involves visiting immediate family (parents, children, siblings, grandparents). Remember to carry official notarized documents to confirm familial ties.

⚠️ Heads Up! A few important reminders! ⚠️

    • One caution is that Taiwan entry permits sometimes get hyped to the point of extortionate pricing schemes—enough to make one audibly gasp.

      • Why it’s a concern: it’s simply too expensive.
      • How to avoid: stay vigilant against exorbitant charges; if something feels unrealistically priced, trust your instincts as these tend to be scams.
    • Another worrying phenomenon is purchasing fake permits after paying excessively high sums.

      • Why this situation is catastrophic:
        • Entry denial isn’t the biggest risk here,
        • Your legal exposure is highly dangerous with potential serious legal penalties involved.
        • Besides, there are safety risks of dealing with untrustworthy operators.
      • How to avoid: stick only to official agencies like ours. Beware of random online offers or individuals promising quick entry permits for vast sums.
    • In summary, if your trip lacks urgency but you don't meet all the official criteria, it might be wise to wait a bit longer; patience will serve us best here!
