Hey everyone, especially those planning to visit Guangzhou!

I just returned from Guangzhou and wanted to remind everyone:

    • Weather Alert: Heavy rainstorm in Guangzhou!
      • It has rained heavily in Tianhe District (commercial and financial center of Guangzhou) recently, with an Orange Rainstorm Warning issued by the government.
      • There was severe waterlogging at the entrance of Taikoo Hui, a high-end shopping mall, making it look like a "Venetian Water City." The subway stations in Zhujiang New Town (Guangzhou's CBD) were flooded as well.
      • The meteorological bureau has issued weather warnings: there may be heavy rain for several days ahead, with some places forecasted to receive up to 200 millimeters of rain!
      • What to Do:
        • Check the latest weather forecasts before you travel.
        • Stay away from low-lying areas or hills during heavy rainfall.
        • Bring rain gear and wear waterproof shoes.

However, the hotel prices in Guangzhou have dropped because of this terrible weather. If you're still determined to visit Guangzhou, make sure to keep this rainy day travel guide!

    • Rainy Day Indoor Activities in Guangzhou:

      • When it rains in Guangzhou, there are many fun indoor activities:
        • Guangdong Museum: A must-visit place for any museum lover! You can enjoy both a museum and an aquarium experience, having fun while learning new things! It's also a great spot for taking photos!
        • Grandview Mall: Now officially recognized as a Class 4A scenic spot, Grandview Mall features various attractions, including an aquarium, tropical forest, and ice world. With enough activities to last you all day, make sure to have a memorable experience!
        • Shisanhang Museum: This place previously called β€œThirteen Factories,” was once an important area for Guangzhou foreign trade. The outside of the museum looks so-so, but the inside holds hundreds of fine relics, such as beautiful screens and exquisite bone fans, each showcasing the once-glorious history of Guangzhou.
