For the Love of God, Just AVOID Shenzhen!!! 1

Certainly, here's a translation of the article that preserves both the details and emotional tone of the original text while ensuring readability for an English-speaking audience.

Sure enough, this is the true depiction of Shenzhen's blue-collar workers! Let’s show our foreign friends – Shenzhen's unique culture isn’t something to be taken lightly!

If you have any of the following "symptoms," congratulations, you've been "transformed" by Shenzhen!

    • ✓ Upon seeing a beautiful sunset, your first thought is to post it on social media with a caption saying, "People who work hard deserve this scenery!"
      • (Background Tip: In Shenzhen, many people are under tremendous work pressure. The term “dugongren,” or “blue-collar worker,” is a popular self-deprecating joke, referring to hard-working white-collars.)
    • ✓ Hearing words like "make money" and "advance career" immediately perks you up—like an ingrained response in your DNA!
    • ✓ If you don't go to Dapeng Beach on weekends (a beautifully scenic coastal region in eastern Shenzhen) and enjoy the sea breeze, you'll feel quite uneasy the whole week.

If you're not ready to be completely changed by this city yet, beware!

💸 "Symptom One: Confused Price Perception Due to 'Mutation'

    • Being in Shenzhen has really made you believe you’ve "seen the world."
    • Inside an "urban village," a dish of beef curry rice with more meat than rice can be had for just 12 RMB.
    • During rush hour on the subway, sometimes you only need 1 RMB to cross several districts (don’t ask why it’s so cheap—it might be due to government subsidies, hah).
    • A box of locally grown lychees from Nanshan district can cost as little as 5 RMB, and they're as sweet as first love!
    • Then when you return to your hometown where a bowl of beef noodle soup costs 30 RMB, it feels so expensive that I felt my eyeballs popping out...

📸 "Symptom Two: Nonstop Photo-Taking Syndrome Due to Mutation"

    • It's advised that you avoid going to the places below, or else your phone memory will sound the alarm:
*📍 YanTan Coastal Promenade: an absolute “terminator” of your phone’s memory! You can hardly resist taking photos every five meters. It’s a scenic walking path along the coast.
*📍 OCT Creative Cultural Zone: a former industrial area transformed into an art district. The coffee shop owners each seem to possess hidden photography skills; a simple snap looks great.
*📍 Upperhills: a red façade that creates a striking color contrast with its surroundings. Just standing there and taking a three-second snapshot will result in a high-quality photo! (I secretly studied the best composing angles ⬇️)
    • After visiting these places, you’ll definitely become a master at flaunting yourself on social media.

🧠 "Symptom Three: Infected by 'Everyone Makes Money' Ambiance"

    • In Shenzhen, the air seems to give you a strong desire to hustle!
    • The owner of a steamed rice noodle shop downstairs listens to economics courses on earphones while preparing noodles.
    • While using ride-hailing services (like Uber/Lyft, the most common one in Shenzhen is ‘Didi’), passengers observe drivers learning from TED talks while waiting at traffic lights.
    • Even the elderly men taking walks in the park inquire about my personal gains from my XIAOHONGSHU account, a lifestyle-sharing app.
    • (Goodness gracious— trying to “lie flat” here is against nature!)

🔥 "Secret Travel Tips Exclusive to Shenzhen"

    • Go to NanTou Ancient City (an ancient district in Shenzhen). Enjoy Cantonese desserts costing as little as 15 RMB, with flavors akin to “Michelin” standard.
    • Take a boat ride costing 2 RMB. This might allow you to catch views of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Greater Bay Area’s night light shows.(The best time is roughly around 7:30 PM)
    • Pretend to be a local and head for Shekou Fish Market. Pick fresh seafood personally, then pass it to nearby restaurants for cooking. (Here's some private advice when negotiating prices 🤫)

    ‼️ "Final Important Caution‼️

    • Shenzhen, this city, is akin to a "PUA" expert! (PUA initially stands for “Pick-Up Artist”, now used metaphorically to represent the city’s methods of attracting you unnoticed)
    • Shenzhen enchants you with its non-stop convenience stores and occasional romantic nights with the "blue tears" (beautiful luminescent marine microorganisms) along the beach.
    • Then it sways you to zealously pursue high-intensity work competition with promises of countless opportunities and prosperity.
    • Once you set foot in Shenzhen, you may find it hard to leave... because you'd fall in (or get used to) love with this way of life!🌊

The saying 'Once you're here, you're a Shenzhener' really hits the mark – it's incredibly inclusive and welcoming, not at all exclusive. It's a great place to make money, enjoys a fantastic climate, has well-maintained public restrooms (many even provide free toilet paper and hand sanitizer), and it's truly a city of the future, a real tech hub! 👍
