Shenzhen for Tourists? Honestly, It's a Hard Pass 💊
-
People everywhere say that about their own city. It's pretty normal.

Go catch mudskippers in Qianhai.

Definitely check out the observatory! On a clear day, the ocean views there truly live up to the title of 'China's most beautiful coastline'! Xichong Beach No. 3 boasts fine sand, clear water, and a gentle slope, perfect for swimming. Then there's Maluan Mountain; hike down from OCT East all the way to the Dameisha Seaside Promenade, and you'll discover a completely different side of Dameisha! Don't miss the sunrise at Luzui Mountain Villa, the crystal-clear 'glass sea' at Judiaosha, Wutong Mountain's stream-trekking routes, and the East-West Chong coastal hike! They are all worth visiting! Places like Youganwan, Jinshawan, Yangmeikeng, and in the city, Happy Harbor, OCT Harbour, Lianhua Mountain, and Shenzhen Bay are great too. Shenzhen ranks first among all Chinese cities for its natural greenery, and its abundant coastal resources combined with mountains are the city's true essence! Staying at the Sheraton or Intercontinental in Dameisha, the Marriott in Jinshawan, the La Riva Resort at Judiaosha, or the MGM at Xiaomeisha offers a completely different experience than just visiting the public beaches. Shenzhen is bound to become a major tourist city in the future.

Which metro line goes to the observatory?
-
Shenzhen isn't really a tourist city, to be honest. I don't quite understand why people choose to visit. It's more a place for making and spending money.
-
There's a certain spirit to Shenzhen.

I spent a day in Shenzhen today. Maybe it's because I haven't been to many big cities, but I found it really bustling. One piece of advice: avoid being outside during the hot daytime; I felt like I was about to get heatstroke, it was so incredibly hot. Also, I found the prices a bit steep. No offense intended – it might be normal for those used to it, but for an average person like me, I'm not used to such expensive things. The art museum, where I spent two hours, was the best part of my day. It's a shame I only had one day and had to leave in the evening, so I missed the night views. Hopefully, I'll get to stay longer next time.

You were just unlucky with the timing. I've been here for half a month, and it's only been this hot for the last few days. It rained today, so it's cooled down again.
