Don't worry, Taiwanese people are generally very friendly.

Come on over, don't worry! Just skip Shilin Night Market – it's pretty much the only one in Taipei everyone agrees is a tourist trap. Also, try to leave the area around Wanhua's Longshan Temple before 8 PM. Other than that, explore and have fun everywhere else!

As long as you're polite, most Taiwanese people are very warm and welcoming.

How do you get a Taiwan entry permit? Aaaah! I've looked at so many guides, and it all seems so confusing and disorganized.

I'm studying in Hong Kong, so it was pretty easy for me to get.

I imagine it's already very hot in June. Be sure to pay attention to sun protection.

Very hot, expect afternoon thundershowers, and there's a chance of typhoons. Going to the beach or seaside should be nice, though.
