Shenzhen's 'Disneyland'? STAY AWAY! (Huge Red Flag!)
-
Ah, let me tell you guys, this place is really not that big!
- Honestly, when you look at it from one end of the area, you can see it all in a single glance—it’s just a small patch.
- If you came to shoot impressive scenes or large-scale productions, you might feel a bit disappointed as there aren’t many suitable spots for good shots.
- I have the feeling that it was quite exaggerated and promoted on social media, especially apps like Xiaohongshu, which is popular in China for sharing lifestyle tips and travel experiences.
- Lots of people (including me!) came after seeing those beautiful edited pictures and highly-applauded posts online.
- But when reaching the place ourselves, we find that it’s really just that small.
- Travel Tip/Scam Avoidance Guide:
- Lower Expectations: If you were expecting a large tourist attraction where you could spend half a day exploring, this spot might come up short. It’s really quite miniature.
- Mind the Filter of Influencers: Before arriving here, it’s best to browse through real reviews and un-Photoshopped pictures from different sources. Images online can sometimes be excessively beautified, which can lead to disparities between real experiences and what people expect based on those images.

Is there any merch for sale?
-
Hmm, I didn't see any.

Hero LMAO, I haven't even gone and I'm already put off.
-
LMAO
More people than actual scenery!
-
Considering HK Disneyland tickets cost 500-600 yuan, plus hundreds for travel, you can't really complain about something that's free.
-
It's just a small setup at the mall entrance. I actually watched them put it together.
-
Yeah, it's incredibly small.
-
I've been to the actual Disneyland and brought back a load of toys.
-
I went in the afternoon and didn't see any LinaBell merch.
-
Just went today. It was genuinely smaller than I expected, and packed with people.
-
I went today too, and it was the same for me. Sigh... you can walk straight through it in less than a minute. It's all people; I couldn't even be bothered to take photos of those few temporary stands.
-
If you're already in Shenzhen, why not just go to HK Disneyland?
-
It's basically just an ad for HK Disneyland.
-
Right? When I got there and saw it, I was stunned
.
-
It's such a tiny spot, you might as well just go straight to HK Disneyland.
-
It's a pop-up event, and it's not like you're paying to get in.
