Wow, who would have thought?! Could anyone imagine Suzhou actually being hotter than Shenzhen?
- I always assumed that cities like Shenzhen, located in southern China, were already very hot due to their geographical position (Shenzhen is near Hong Kong and has a tropical climate).
- But wait, Suzhou — the famous "Paradise on Earth," as mentioned by the saying, "Above there is heaven, below there is Suzhou and Hangzhou", with its beauty said to rival that of heaven itself — has completely scorched me during summer, causing doubt about the heat’s impact!
- Right now, Suzhou is incredibly popular (Oh my gosh, Suzhou is so hot right now), swarming with tourists. Its scenery is indeed remarkable, which justifies its title as a renowned tourist attraction.
However, pay attention if you plan to visit during summer (listen up!):
- Heat protection! Heat protection! Heat protection! – an important reminder three times over! Meaning, it is necessary to prepare thoroughly for the intense heat; otherwise, it would become unbearable.
- What can you do?
- Drink plenty of water — it's obvious but essential in keeping your body hydrated.
- Wear appropriate clothing — light, breathable clothes, preferably light-colored ones, since dark colors tend to absorb more heat.
- Avoid the hottest periods — during high noon (from around 12 PM to 3 PM), opt to stay indoors with air conditioning if possible, such as visiting well-chilled museums, shops, or your hotel.
- What can you do?
- While sightseeing at beautiful gardens and historic towns, remember to take care of yourself! Neglecting to manage the excessive heat can spoil your travel experience.

It's incredibly hot and humid; I feel like I'm melting!
-
Same here, totally bewildered.

What's the temperature? Any suggestions on what to wear?

It's very hot and sunny during the day, so dress as lightly as possible. I'd recommend bringing sun-protective clothing and an umbrella. The first evening I arrived, it was a bit chilly, so a light jacket or your sun-protective top would be good.

We have no choice but to keep the AC running all night long.

It's so muggy and stifling today!

It really is.
