Renaissance Hangzhou Yuhang: AKA The 'Little W' Everyone's Whispering About?
-
Sure! Here you go:
Certainly, no problem! I'm happy to help you polish this experience post so that it is more suitable for foreign friends to read, while still preserving your witty commentary style!

🤩 This hotel has been on my wish list for quite a while! Everyone calls it “Hangzhou little W Hotel” (W Hotels are famous for their fashionable designs, therefore the little W means it has a similar style but may be more accessible). As predicted, it didn't disappoint, and as soon as I had the chance, I rushed over to check it out!
-
️ Special Note: This location may not be ideal for tourists!
- It is quite far from Hangzhou City Center (which houses major tourist attractions like West Lake), and taking the metro or taxi there would take approximately 40 minutes.
- However, it is extremely close to Hangzhou Yuhang High-Speed Railway Station. Therefore, choosing Yuhang Station as your destination upon arrival by high-speed train could be a more convenient option.
- There seems to be some ongoing construction of the Asian Games stadium across from the hotel, suggesting the area has strong potential for development in the future.
-
🤫 There's a mall near the hotel called Silver Trust Mall (a common Chinese chain mall).
- Although its proximity is convenient, to be honest, it's not that fun to stroll through with limited dining options.
- The most famous restaurant in this mall would probably be "HeyTea", a super popular Chinese bubble tea shop.
-
Therefore, my personal recommendation is that, for those who visit Hangzhou primarily for leisure travels, this hotel may not be the best choice, due to its distant location from main attractions.
-
As for pricing, it's about RMB 600 to 1000 per night.
- Considering the brand Renaissance (another international hotel brand), these prices fall within the standard range.
- However, thinking about it, it feels quite affordable to go with "pretending it's W Hotel" at half of the original price!
-
🤩 The entire hotel truly lives up to its name "Hangzhou Little W".
- From the lobby, restaurants, elevators, and rooms, every corner skillfully integrates Peking Opera elements and modern artistic design, exuding a certain style and vigor.
- Whenever you first step foot in this hotel, you surely wouldn't be able to help from going "Wow!"
-
This time around, I reserved a mountain view room.
- The room decoration definitely absorbed the “coolness” of W Hotels, yet it didn’t overdo it, still retaining a feeling of business-oriented hotels.
- But let me add a small comment: even though it's called a mountain view room, the view outside the window is not too impressive – it could as well just be an ordinary room.
- At night, you can see the lights from the shopping center nearby, and during the day, you can relax and bask in the sun on the sofa, which is quite comfortable and delightful! In summary, it’s okay.
- However! Keep in mind that it has one slight flaw: turning all the room lights on still leaves the space relatively dim. Also, trying to figure out which switch controls which light can sometimes mean fumbling around a lot, which is a bit of a hassle.

In terms of W Hotel style, the bathroom stands as the representative!
- It features an open layout; the marble colors and mirror lighting are arranged like fashion snaps and are extremely "Instagrammable" (the kind of style suitable for photography and posting on social media).
- During a bath, there's a sliding door to close, thus ensuring privacy. The toilet is regular, not smart (Japanese hotels often offer smart toilets with heated seats and cleaning attachments, which this hotel lacks). The shower area isn't too big, either. The bathing amenities are no special thrill either.
-
🤪 The pool and gym are quite ordinary, giving the impression that the hotel doesn't fully embody a trendy image like a "popular hotel".
- The pool is quite common, and nothing eye-catching.
-
🤨 The breakfast is decent, located beside the elevator on the first floor.
- It offers an average level of variety and is decent food-wise, but not overwhelmingly abundant.
- The breakfast area is separated into sections for Eastern cuisine, Western cuisine, fruits, and beverages, but the spacing feels slightly unorganized, with the service areas a little far from each other, leading to confusion.
-
🥳 Finally, praise for the service!
- Everyone, from the welcoming staff at the door, to the front desk employees, and housekeeping staff, all displayed super-friendly attitudes! Very warm! Definitely a plus!
