Generally, weather conditions tend to worsen in the afternoon. Plus, an early flight helps avoid cascading delays from earlier arrivals. But if the weather is truly terrible, it doesn't really matter if it's morning or evening. A morning flight could be delayed until night, while afternoon and evening flights would probably just get cancelled.

Flying from Hefei to Shenzhen. The on-time rate for this flight is only 33%. After reading the comments, I'm genuinely worried that my flight, scheduled to arrive a little after 1 PM, might not land in Shenzhen until 3 or 4 PM. I'm already mentally prepared for a delay.

I just came from Hefei. My flight was originally scheduled to depart at 7:30 PM and arrive at 10 PM. It ended up taking off at 11 PM and I've only just arrived now.
