I've visited Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen this year. It was my first time in Shenzhen. Honestly, the attractions weren't particularly surprising, but the city's urban planning and development are truly excellent, and everything looks very modern and new.

I haven't figured out what I'd wish for yet, so I haven't dared to just go. Seriously.

It's not explicitly stated, but it's possible they do. If your own qualifications aren't particularly strong, it might be better to hold off. Even with excellent credentials, approval is never 100% guaranteed.

Actually, every city has its good sides and its not-so-good sides. I wrote this post simply to share some characteristics I encountered that are a bit different from my own city and might be slightly bewildering for outsiders. It's better to understand a bit more and be mentally prepared before your visit, so you don't end up just listing things to avoid after your trip. Overall, Guangzhou is still a fantastic place for food.
