Shanghai: Still Can't Get Over Its Charm. Not Even a Little.
-
A paradise for 'hustle culture kings'? Is that really something to be proud of?
-
Please, all you 'hustle kings,' just don't stay here, I'm begging you!
-
But people in Shanghai can be quite aloof, and the older women ('aunties') there can be really blunt and hurtful. I never felt any genuine human warmth in that city.
-
I don't think it's necessarily aloofness; perhaps it's just politeness, maintaining a comfortable distance. Some people aren't used to being greeted with overt enthusiasm right off the bat.
-
OMG, do I want to go to China? Goodness, am I actually thinking about going to China?
-
Welcome to China! I'm sure you're going to have a wonderful trip here.
-
@playcat Not sure if this MANNER coffee place has gotten popular yet.
-
Hahahaha, you go check it out for us!
-
And outside my window.
-
Shanghai isn't actually that 'dog-eat-dog' anymore, though the cost of living is certainly high.
-
Locals probably aren't caught up in the intense competition, right?
-
What a beautiful view from this angle! So golden.
