I really wouldn't recommend going to Dapeng during peak holiday periods. On the way back, I heard someone set off in the morning and didn't even get to the scenic area until after 6 PM. Plus, hotel prices are insane during these peak times – easily one or two thousand, sometimes even several thousand a night! It's a classic case of too many people chasing too few options. You're better off just packing a tent and going camping!
